  Your politics and self esteem issues aside (screeching for attention at an audiobook torrent site is just sad, Sport), don’t you EVER tire of caterwauling the same one-note sonata ad nauseum?

  Isn’t there some elementary level blog for the linguistically, philosophically, ethically, socially AND politically challenged you could troll?

  For the sake of varying your tact every once in a while, try this: as site visitors simply THANK the poster for sharing a new book, watch/read the commentary from a respectful, quiet distance. How about leaving it at that? Please–practice humility and discretion once in a while. As suggestions go, I hope those aren’t TOO radical for you.

  To paraphrase Carl Sandburg, “silence is an opinion.” Try using his tact every now and then, OK?

  Maybe you like “doing” Latin, Sir, but I attribute my own issues with it to an overactive spell-check, techno-incompetence and typing on a cell phone much too late at night. And if you’ll allow me a moment of constructive criticism, you MIGHT do well to keep your libidinal tendencies private, Mr. Biter. “DOING language”??? Myself, I prefer to “deploy” or “instantiate” language. I guess I’m old-fashioned…

  Your spelling and usage lesson isn’t so much lost on me as it is a banal, sad, trollish act of argumentative evasion–rather than appending the existing discussion, you simply shift the rhetorical focus to minutiae. Talk about pretense! What’s more pretentious than leaping into a conversation for which you’re sorely unqualified, wholly oblivious and seemingly quite confused?

  [In case you failed to notice–although I’m SURE you didn’t–you might want to double-check my spelling of ‘minutiae,’ my Latin-Doing friend]

  And how would YOU know what a “pretentious wannabe intellectual” is, Mr(s). Biter? Because you know what a “real intellectual” is? Yet more reductive, evasive and self-congratulatory nonsense. Is “intellectuality” your area of academic “expertise”? It never ceases to amaze me that ad hominem logic is the first rhetorical response [or ‘tack,’ maybe?] to an interlocutor’s valid point(s).

  [BTW…you might want to check on my spelling of ‘ad hominem’…I certainly don’t want to ONCE AGAIN offend your delicate semantic sensibilities]

  Finally, unless you ARE “lisiva5995,” I fail to see your personal stake in this argument. Standing up for the underdog, are you? Helping maintain law and order at the ol’ audiobook torrent discussion thread? Coming to the aid of a damsel in distress? Running interference for your ideological soulmate? As this IS the first time I’ve posted at this site, maybe you could cut ME some slack for being mildly ignorant of the rules of conduct…

  …or if you ARE the eminently moral person you PRETEND to be (yet more pretense!), maybe you could swoop in and call lisiva5995 to task for souring nearly EVERY book thread to which he/she/they/it responds. That way, you could feel GOOD about yourself for taking a stance, preserve the “authenticity” of exchanges here at audiobookbay, and continue “doing” and “biting” your way through Latin, English, and anything else your pointy little brain desires.
