French Kids Eat Everything is a wonderfully wry account of how Karen Le Billon was able to alter her children’s deep-rooted, decidedly unhealthy North American eating habits while they were all living in France.
At once a memoir, a cookbook, a how-to handbook, and a delightful exploration of how the French manage to feed children without endless battles and struggles with pickiness, French Kids Eat Everything features recipes, practical tips, and ten easy-to-follow rules for raising happy and healthy young eaters—a sort of French Women Don’t Get Fat meets
Food Rules.

What’s wrong with being a “picky” eater? Who assigned this author the duty of determining what people should and shouldn’t eat? If some want to eat monkey brains or dog turds, does that make it the “right” way to eat, and all should strive to eat that way? It’s a pretty common thought that people shouldn’t be choosy about what they eat, but unless one is starving and there’s no other choice, what’s the difference? I’ll eat what I want, and others should do the same as to what THEY want, not what I want.

As a parent concerned with getting quality food into my children, thank you for sharing a book that was written for parents looking for a variety of ideas on how to get whole - non-processed - eaten and enjoyed.

Quite a muttonheaded presumption!

So far there appear to be two groups of people commenting on this torrent: a group with, and the second, without children… :-)
So… thank you for this torrent, should come handy!

Flyinby. There’s a difference between a “picky” eater and someone who chooses what they eat. The former refuses to eat spinach because, well, they’ve never tried spinach, they’re never going to, and you can’t make them. So there! The latter has eaten spinach and decided they don’t care for it, so they don’t eat it. They get their Vitamin A, Iron, and other nutrients elsewhere. The former are generally people who eat junk and wind up with heart disease, high cholesterol, or both at thirty-five. The latter know the excitement of discovering new foods cuisines. So there!

I wish Americans fed their children as well as the French.

Considering the French as experts in anything is hysterical.
